Default MMR Street/Strip Oil Pump?...opinions

Well i got the MMR street/strip oil pump for my 2V twin turbo. And i have read some people been having pump failures with them? Maybe they were just installed incorrectly? So is anyone running one of there oil pumps without any problems?

The problems I've heard about had to do with running the wrong weight oil or something. I just know the Melling is a great unit and it's what I plan on using it.

It was something to do with casting flaws but they have since addressed that situation so I'd not worry
