Default ecu problem????

hhhhhheeeeeelllllllpppppp!!!!! I have a 99 gt and am having major problems. Today when i got into my car to leave it would not start... The instrument cluster shows no signs of life when the key is in the "run" position. My odometer reading is completly blank, no seatbelt light, check engine light or anything. I also noticed that my fuel pump does not prime. The starter turns over but the car does nothing. After leaving the key in the run position for appx. 60 seconds, all the gauges light up, and the odometer shows --------. The car continues to turn over but wont start, wont even give you the hope of starting. the a/c fan will blow but is stuck on defrost. I was told this may be a ecu problem, any suggestions?

Thx for the welcome.... Grounds have been checked, battery & terminals in great shape. It almost has to be a computer issue.. nothing changes when i try it over and over. i had a friend hook it to a computer to check any diagnostic codes, none were found. he then attempted to program another key for me, still no luck. he then called a friend at a ford dealership, the guy said "computer" immediaty... i was just hopin' someone has had this issue before!
