Default Forged internals benefits?

Other then the fact that they allow you to safely run more boost what are all the pros and cons you guys know about forged internals? I know that this is perhaps a rather difficult question but if I get them then I want to know all about them but from both sides which are the good and the bad. Thanks everyone for being great like always.

to be honest there really isnt anything bad about forged internals....maybe except the cost?

you can adjust your compression with a new size dish for your pistons to bump or lower compression based on your application. (to make more power)That doesn't really have anything to do with forged or not just an advantage to a new rotating assembly in general. If you're not going to be rebuilding ur motor anyway and you don't expect to exceed the limitations of stock internals its really not something you should do just for the bump or reduction in compression.

If you're doing a blower you could lower the compression at least a little bit with dished pistons while you are getting it all rebuilt.

I'm not building my motor to race. It's going to be my daily driver. With that in mind is forged still a good way to go? Should I have a new motor just in case? If so then how much do new motors cost?

maybe yes, maybe no, depends on use and setup... the main benefits are rpm capability and power capability.

Does the engine change to a larger liter size? A friend told me it does. Not so sure if I believe him though.

Whoever is building it would probably bore a little over to freshen up the cylinder walls. I am 0.0020" over with my pistons and have 284 ci. vs. 281 ci.

So I'd go from a 4.6 to something like a 5.0?
