Default car rumbling

ok i was about to post something about my car what i thought was wrong then i was reading some old post and i think i found out whats wrong with my car.
i read where somebody was talking about the idel air senor and the auxillary air inputs. would that trigger the check engine light to come on or not?
before i read this i thought my promblem was with my diablo "chip" not tunner dont ask i bought the car with it. but my car is running really ruff and rich
anybody got any input

my IAC went out 2 weeks ago, it didn't trigger the check engine light, but then again everytime i would crank it it woudl die........... but still i gave it some gas and it would run, but the light never came on

well i don't know much about engines and stuff as far as fixing it, so i posted it was stalling on this forum. And right away they said IAC is messed up, and i just kinda researched where the IAC is and took it off and tried cleaning it first and that didn't work. So i went and got a new one from autozone for like 40 bucks. and takes like 2 minutes to install, if i can do anyone can.

Now I know I'm going to sound like a noob but I am so here it is what is the IAC and will that be the problem that has my baby die out at about 3000to4000rpms

heres two pictures, one is of the IAC, the other is where the IAC is supposed to be located, but i had already removed it. obviously its supposed to be where the red circle is

of course, for about 40 bucks and 5 minutes to replace it , its not like you'd be losing a lot to just get a new one and see. WAY CHEAPER THAN TAKING TO THE DEALER

thats what happens 2 me I would punch it and it would act like it is going to stall so its called IAC where can I get It from any auto store
