haven't used it in my stang, but i did use it in one of my field cars 1992 dodge dynasty. I like telling this story! This car was a huge POS, the rings were bad and the head gasket was leaking bad. so bad that the coolant wouldn't hold at all, I could run a hose in the radiator and the car would start to stall out water would literally spray out of the exhaust! The oil wasn't much better, water and coolant were in there. The oil level was double the height that it was suppose to be becuase of the mixture. So i put some lucas's in there and it lasted a year until the alternator died. So that sold me. (hard hard year)
another thing i use (when i have an automatic) is the transmission treatment, this stuff really does work, another field car story, but long story short, "completely" fixed a 86 cavalier wagon that was slipping.
Buy it, you wont be sorry you did.

I dont see why you would want to us that stuff if your motor still has low miles on it. Of course its going to look appealing on the label, thats what its designed to do: sell. I've always heard stay away from additives on a solid running motor. Maybe if you car was "hurt" or ticking or something, then try it... but I wouldnt start using it on a perfectly fine mid-mileage motor... Thats just my .02

yeah i was actually thinking about it and i shouldnt really "need" an additive. . . i also heard it makes your oil thin and foam up somehow i dunno. its so funy playing with the little gear displays at auto zone tho lol. . . u know the ones im talkin about haha, the one where you spin the gears and the lucas climbs the gears all the way to the top

I've been a user of Lucas oil stabilizer for years on all types of engines. I highly suggest it. It really will help against dry starts because it's sticky like honey and coats well. I've also seen how well it coats by pulling apart an engine that had it. It's great stuff and works great. I've even run 75% Lucas 25% oil for a short time. (long story off-roading and punctured the oil pan, patched it and happened to have a bottle in the back). They also make a version for synthetic oils. I use it on brand new vehicles and high mileage. Great stuff, can't go wrong.
