Default SLP CatBack ~ Different Mufflers?

OK guys so i have the LMI catback and its way to loud. Has any one swapped Mufflers? If i take a set of Flow 40's or what not do you think they will fit, and possibly just use the clamps that the cat-back came with. I really dont feel like spending a ton of money on a differnt cat back when the piping i have is fine and should work.

I still like the LMI mufflers for being obnoxious in Ocean City, MD.

Well, SLP built a modular system, so if you don't like the LM1 resonators, you can get the LM2'S or even the power-flos. I was thinking about getting the LM2's in case it is too loud when I get the x-pipe and headers. That is the other thing with the catted x, when you go to their headers, you don't have to buy a new x pipe, you just remove the first piece off the x pipe. I don't know if any other system will bolt up, like if you took 40's. But if you do it, let me know.

Yea i know all SLP Mufflers are interchangeable but I cant find any good videos or sound clips of the PowerFlo's and honestly LM's are cool but im kinda sick of the way it sounds. I miss that old Flo sound. But im gonna see if i can measure some of my buddies Muffler chambers and see if it will work.

The slp muffler seem a little shorter than other brands. But if your going to cut it you can cut it to any size you want, to put any muffler on you want.

You could always try a catted x or even swap to an h pipe.

LM1's = Vault
LM2's = Mountain Dew
ProFlow's = Root Beer

Most Flowmasters = Mellow Yellow (always around but only really good once in a while)
Super40's = Harvey Wallbanger [good only the morning after banging a fat chic (or at the track)]

lmfao, flows = droning headsplitters..

Go with the lm2's, it's much more of a toned down version of the lmI than most people think.

Plus One.
My LM2's were way quiet compared to my LM1's. I actually ended up taking most of the packing out because of this.

I have LM2's on my GT and they are pretty tame. I am looking forward to getting an SLP catted mid pipe in hopes that it will get a little louder. I say swap in LM2 mufflers
