Default Spec stage 1 clutch?

Well just recently my stock clutch on my 2003 gt started slipping a bit. So i purchased a spec stage 1 clutch. Now that it had came in ive seen people complaining about how it chatters like crazy. Is this true? And why?

Hey man got the same car, got a few mods including a Spec Stage II clutch and I don't have any problems. Lotta guys bash the Spec clutchs but I must say it hold's real good under full throttle.

I have a spec stage 1 clutch and never had a problem with it. Plus it handles my power like a champ.

i have a stage 1 and it chattered like crazy, and i mean super bad, pulled it out, found out the machine shop machined the flywheel poorly and it was not an even surface, put it back in, chattered for about 300 miles, and now its super smooth, and holds my stock power well

I never had any problems with my stage 1. I highly recommend the Steeda 3 pc. adjustable clutch cable kit to compliment the new clutch. I could never get my pedal to feel right untill i installed it.

I made 695rwhp but we didn't like the tune for the car being my DD so we tuned it back down to 665rwhp for safety. We had to lean it out, was about 23* of timing and open the spark gap to get 695 and that wouldn't have been very safe once the weather starts getting hotter. So we closed the gap back down to .028, tuned the a/f back down to 11.5 and am only running 21* of timing. I will be able to make much safer power when I swap out a different pulley instead of tuning for it.

By the way these are superflow numbers. If translated into dynojet numbers thats about 760rwhp.
