Default 98 to 99 Engine Differences?

Hey my friend has a 98 Cobra and he busted a rod, and I found a complete running engine from a 99 Cobra for a good price in the next town over. My question to you guys is will it directly swap over?

It will all work, however you have to do something with the IMRCs, or else you will have codes. You can get a tuner to tune them out of the PCM. A lot of people do C-swaps.. I also think the throttle cable will have to be changed, my memory is a little vague on this subject.

Well I know at a glance that they have a different intake mani, how about the heads. The engine my buddy broke was built by MMR and the heads and intake are full p/p, so if the block is exactly the same, we could swap over his heads and intake and just use the block itself from the 99?

The heads are different the 96-98 uses B-heads and the 99+ uses C-heads, they are very different.
