You can swap short blocks no problem. The C-head (99-04) flows a little better in stock form however..

and Chris why would you keep the swirl port B heads and Intake when the Tumble port C heads from the 99 would make more power....(as whitefox said)

It can be done i'd go for it. Really it depends on how much u found the motor for.

Engine still in the 99 running for $2k. I need a straight answer as to which is the best route to use - the whole engine or swap out his p/p parts to the 99 block?

well he says his were ported and I didn't think the 99-01 intakes had imrcs which his cars tuned for. If they both have imrs then if his heads were stock then ya swap em, but he said they are ported. Imo use the shortblock with his heads/intake it will be a direct swap and shouldn't need anything changed.

i missed the part about ported heads, if he has any idea what CFM they flow compare it to the 01 cobra heads/intake, CFM.

The swirl ports can only be used with the swirl port intake the 99/01 heads/intake can be used with 03/04 mach or cobra heads or intake ( all are interchangable/ mix and match from 99-04.)

not a bad deal cuz it comes with a tranny but its already got 55k miles on it, you could rebuild the shortblock and use the existing set-up and add f/i for that much, it'd be a decent deal if he needed a tranny. Personally i think the 03/04 cobra engine is overated, yes i said it someone shoot me idc.

it's the whole conversion kit. you can get a shell from 94-04 and put it in there, he sells it with all the harnesses, and even pedals

yes i saw that, its not a bad deal but like i said.. unless this guy needs a tranny thats not the best option for him.

OP i would say goahead and buy the 01 cobra stuff for 2k, if he choses to keep the B heads you can sell the 01 intake for right around $300 and the complete heads for anywhere from $3 to $700.

or just build a new shortblock.
