Default fuel system help

i need help choosing a good set up for my system.

right now i push 447rhp and 420rtq with 42lb injectors and a Walbro 255 in tank pump. some say that the walbro on a returnless system is just waiting for a horror story. i really dont know but dont want to take any chances

i would like not to have to spend 1400 to fully upgrade the fuelsystem (but its sure cheaper than a new shortblock if i have too)

what would you folks reccomend that would be good for now but able to upgrade to mid/high500

would twin focus pumps be ok for the gt tank or should i go with the all cobra setup?

any suggestions would be great

Actually all you really need is upgraded fuel pumps. You may need slightly larger fuel injectors in the near future if you come close to 500 rwhp. Other than that you can use the stock fuel rails with 42 lb injectors and a 255lph Focus fuel pump.

hey, im looking into running the same setup you are running... (forged internals, procharger, VT stage 2 cams) how much has everything that you have done cost you? and also, i thought you should be closer to 500 rwhp with that setup that you have there? do you have all the other normal bolt ons? thanks for any help.

thanks for the direction jdaniel. always helpful
so with the focus pumps with maybe larger injecters should see around 550rw? if i turn up the boost

and racer02.. i really cant say, i bought the car with most of the major mods except the forged block (3000) and twin clutch w/ flywheel (775). still got the stock headers and i am not using a powerpipe. with the ported heads the boost level was around 7 lbs (less i think). the pulls were done with no airflow across the front and to a low rpm (5600 or 5800), i believe, as at the time it only had the stock short block. i think i got most of the bolt ons though and the tune was conservative.

waiting for the shop to drop in the new block but i should pull higher rpms and see a little more once its broken in. maybe next week or the week after, only time will tell

No problem. If you do the Focus pump and the upgraded injectors then make sure you get it tuned properly. You dont wanna run lean or you will blow it and if you run rich you will ruin your gas milage and performance.
