P1131 Code
2000 Mustang GT 5 Speed
Hey guys, this is my first post here and was looking for some help from you mustang experts. I recently installed a pypes x pipe with splice in eliminators. One day later, which is today my CEL came on. When cruisin after changing gears and hitting stop light my idle will jump to 1500rpm and stay a while then fall. I had been cruisin fine all day and the night before then idle jump and CEL came on. Checked codes and only one code popped up. P1131 bank 1 O2 lean. I had an exhaust leak by the O2 bung and he welded it while the O2 sensor was in place. COuld that be the prob...O2 sensor died? and would that make my idle jump and stay at 1500rpm for a while before dropping. Anyways, I cleared the code and I runs fine again. No idle hang at 1500 when hitting stop signs. Help me out guys. Thanks a bunch!
