Please takes the caps off. Many of us don't like being yelled at all the time, expecially from a n00b.

I was leaning toward the 75mm... any reason you all went with the 70?

I went with the Accufab plenum and Ford Racing 70mm throttle body. All works perfect together and it ready smoothed out my overall performance. I first had the throttle body without the plenum but the TB didn't come alive until I also added the Accufab plenum. Accufab shows that optimum results with a non-highly modified Mustang engine are best with a 70mm thottle body. Some say other plenum manufacturers suggest a 75mm TB with their plenums. Go to the Accufab website ( http://www.accufabracing.com/Flow%20Data.htm ) and check the performance stats on various combinations towards the lower part of the page. The Accufab showed the highest overall HP and torques gains.

I also put on a new IAC valve at the same time of installation as you have to transfer the old one off your existing plenum anyway. I had about 44,000 miles on mine so I got the new Ford part (IAC) for $99 from my dealer. The newer IAC's are cool too.....brassy looking with a highly polished chrome-look valve. I installed the new IAC, throttle body and removed my air cleaners wind noise baffle all in about 30 minutes. Good modification all the way around. By just removing the wind baffle you end up with a poor man's CAI with probably close to the same performance. The CAI's don't really add as much power as they say. Only in the case of a 390 HP Cobra will it affect your performance noticeably enough to warrant a custom aftermarket purchase. Or, again, if you have highly modified your engine.

One thing about the Ford Racing throttle body, it comes complete with all new sensors so you don't have to transfer any old parts off your stock TB. It is still a 70mm so I opted to get all parts new when I made my switch. You can't really try to tell me anyone's 70mm TB is much better than anyone elses. All you are effectively doing is increasing the inside diameter of your TB for better air flow.....not a rocket science situation. The FR throttle body and Accufab plenum do work very well together and bolt up perfectly without any heartburn whatsoever.

Good luck with your choices.

Deannostang, thanks for all the info. There are a couple of things that you said that I have questions about though. "removed my air cleaners wind noise baffle all in about 30 minutes." ARe you talking about the rubber gasket like basket thingy that is hooked to the fender that your filter goes through? And with my lightly modified GT, would a Power Plus Series Intake Plenum and a BBK 75mm Throttle Body be worth the 300 bucks?
