Default SVT Focus Pump

I'm doing the DIY Vortech kit. Anyways I was thinking I would go with the SVT focus fuel pump like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...Q5fAccessories My question is, are the focus pumps a direct drop in or is fabbing involved? Does the above linked pump have everything I need?

It is a direct replacement...FYI some people including myself, and most recently I read in MM&FF magazine that even that had problems with fuel bottoming out up top. I have been through this when I had my prochargered installed, and the first run on the dyno showed a slight lean condition above 5500rpm, so we used a Ford GT fuel pump and never looked back.

I think this is it even though the description see SVT focus pump, the title say Ford GT super car fuel pump. Which is what is in my car and works great.

I have never had problems with my svt focus pump. I'm running 10psi and running rich.

Of course there are people who dont have problems with them, every install is different. Different tune and engine characteristic's (A/F, timing, injectors), my piont was I have read many times on this site that people have went lean using a SVT fuel pump, including myself. I think procharger's and other's answer to this was to drill out the check valve to 11/32. It's in the manual, but mine was drilled and it still went lean. I think this is a random thing, its not like every single pump will be this way. But my luck I was one of the people who got a bad pump and had to wait for a new one to get to the shop and pay even more dyno time etc.

Is the GT supercar pump a drop in install as well? I am going to be using 42lb. injectors and running very low boost. However, I do plan on eventually forging the motor out and cranking the boost up. So I think I will prolly do the GT pump if it is easy. Plus it is much cooler to say that you have a part from a GT supercar in your ride than a Focus part. lol

like already stated, some focus pumps outflow others. I am making 369rwhp on a loaded dyno and my tuner said I still have some room left on the focus pump

The focus is a 255lph, and the GT super car pump is a 265lph, but the GT pump has a different connector and the wiring will have to be spliced. No big deal though I think is only 2 or 3 wires. Ground, Postive, and a variable +. The wiring I am not 100% sure of.

I planned for a Focus pump w/ my vortech build, but I would like to know more about the GT pump and how hard the wiring is. Anyone with experience? If it's just cutting the connectors and splicing the wires then that wouldn't be a big deal, or you could just splice on the same style connector as the stock pump.

I believe the focus pump actually only flows at like 217 lph
