Damn I was hoping I wouldn't have to sink much more money in this thing at the moment but that's the way it always works.
$1700 bucks for the aftercooler not to mention everybody keeps telling me to look into the Cobra pumps and tank.
Where does it end?? I'm not complaining though. If there's a will there's a way. (I think?) : )
I also forgot the battery relocation kit.

Yikes!

Hmm I need to look into it. I'm not sure if I could get the other parts from Vortech.

Is there any risk in using a 3.33 pulley without an aftercooler?
I just installed a custom kit on my 03 GT.
S-Trim, 42# inj, 3.33 pulley, AFM Power Pipe w/ 90mm Lightning MAS, Walbro 255LPH
My tuner said he's a bit concerned as I'm told a 3.33 produces 10LB boost.
He thought that was a little high to be running without an aftercooler on a stock motor.
Has anybody been successful in using this type setup for any length of time?
Has anyone burned a piston or hurt the stock motor.

Let me know.
10 PSI and no intercooler sounds like suicide to me.
2000GT4.6... Come on... You know just as well as I do that its all about the tune. MD has been running a 13LB pulley for a long time now with no probs. You can run 10 psi all day long, just make sure you get a good tune. The secrete with boost is fuel and tune.

Actually I got a custom tune from Diablo sport since I have a Preditor, just to get the car drivable. The tuner set it very conservative since he was unsure of what the car was really doing. The car runs great even at wide open (very smooth, no pinging). My car is an auto (don't ask why) so he set the shift points at a lower rpm so the S/C doesn't creat max boost. Kinda smart really till I get it on the dyno. I'm kinda thinking it may be better for a street car since I will get more boost at a lower rpm and then shift at a lower rpm. Kinda hard on the car with the stock bottom end at even 5800. I may be wrong though.

That makes me feel a better. I wanted to hear that. I may change the bottom end some winter or sooner if it blows (ouch), knock on wood, but I don't feel like doing it any time soon if I don't have to.
