I understand what your saying about not wanting to get "your ***** wet"; However people really do care for there cars and especially an icon car such as the mustang there's no reason to not walk that extra mile to maintain and upkeep this car.

My car was drivin in the winter the first years of it's life. I bought it in the fall of '04 and never drove it in the winter until this year when I was forced to.

There's surface rust on the regular places, but no body rust and my midpipe (again, only one winter) is actually in decent shape for being a MAC.

As long as your rust is not on the body of the car, who cares? It's like someone obsessing over keeping your tires clean. Honestly, it rolls over/through EVERYTHING....

I generally look at my undercarriage twice a month. First trim, then shave...

Mine looks just about new on the underside. Just normal surface rust on the diff. It has never been driven in the winter and I don't drive it in the rain, not because I don't wanna get my ***** wet, but I just don't enjoy driving it in the rain.

im sure mine isnt perfect but like someone said i bought it to drive...its been through rain/snow/heat whatever...also driven 40hrs in 2 days from AZ to MD but thats what its made for...also its really not that hard to drive a rwd car in the rain...and ive had a 440rwhp, 601rwhp and now a 446rwhp stang and its my DD and of course i dont enjoy driving it all the time but i feel comfortable in the rain...snow is another story but i will if i have to....but a little rust on ur exhaust and all that shouldent be too bad....think about everyother car on the road thats a DD...sure it may not help the resale value if the underside is not the cleanest but it shouldent make ur car blow up either

This is wild, if you don't drive in the rain cause the car has power you are a horrible driver or have drag tires on them all the time.

If you have tires made for water traction it could have 800 hp and still drive fine in the rain, it's called not flooring it...especially around corners.

To others if you don't drive it in bad weather cause you don't want anything bad to happen to it...ok I just hope you don't ever race it cause something "bad" may happen to it.

This is my opinion, but do what you want with your car. I just think cars are made to be used

I don't drive mine in the rain because it's 16 years old, doesn't have a spot of rust on it and I like it that way. We are getting off topic from the OP though...

It's fine that this is going a bit off topic. I see where a-lot of people are and I feel I need to get under there and bring the stang back up to par with you all. No excuse for not rust proofing some things under there (at least in my opinion).
