The truth be told BBK isn't all that great. The reason is it's metal and conducts heat. That means less power. The best is JLT. It is Plastic and the filter is in the fender too. K & N has the filter in the engine bay so it sucks hot air.

wrong!

Heatsoak doesn't have anything to do with it. The air isn't in the intake track long enough for it to matter. And the fact that the bbk draws air from the fender is the only benefit but again it almost so small of a benefit it doesn't even matter.

JLT is the best only because it's the most expensive and it looks the most intimidating when you open the hood. The large diameter of the main tube is it's own benefit because of it's high volume low restriction tube design but you're still limited at the MAF and the TB so you're right back to square one.

And before you or someone else brings up Ram Air, don't.

The hp that is gain by a CAI is so minimal the choise to buy one is mearly cosmetic.

+1 BBK Looks very nice compared to a massive plumbing pipe and gets the job done equally.
