my car threw the code P0174 (lean on bank 2) does this mean one of the 02 sensors on the passenger side is bad or...?

you said bank 2 and I think that's driver's side. I am guessing it is sensor 1 right? o2 sensors do randomly go bad sometimes.

 

Im kinda in the same boat bank 1 is drivers side bank 2 is pass. I have code P0171(lean on bank one) and cant figure out the problem, might be a O2 sensor?

 

Bank 1 is the passenger's (right) side...



Here is what the shop manuals says about P0171 (P0174 is the same)--you will see that none of the possible causes are a defective O2 sensor, in fact the sensors is good and doing its job. The possible causes are listed in descending order of likelihood, so work the list from the top down...

 

im guessing that the exhaust leak(s) is what's causing the problem then, theres leaks everywhere. both manifolds leak bad and there's minor leaks where the cats are. thanks cliffy
