chirp from engine bay
This is a noise so it's going to be hard to describe but I'll do my best... It sounds like a bird chirping at a really fast rate when I accelerate and definitely responds to the amount of throttle I give it (more throttle, faster chirping) and then every once in a while it randomly lets loose a big chirp. My first guess was a vacuum leak somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I sprayed soapy water on the connections of my PP 75mm throttle body/plenum and couldn't pinpoint it. It WAS NOT doing the fast chirping with throttle before I installed the tb/plenum but it WAS doing the big chirp at random before so I feel like the new TB/plenum is not the issue but did aggravate it (most likely due to the change in air flow). It's not very loud from in the cab. I have to really listen to hear it while driving but if I get out and manually move the throttle on the tb, it's very loud. It happens whether or not the car is in gear too so it's not transmission/drivetrain related. I just replaced my belt a couple of months ago with a gatorback so that isn't it either. It's really annoying, please help me

i had kind of the same thing, my alternator was the reason. i took the brushes out and cleaned them and the noise slowly went away, not sure if its the same for you. Just remove the belt and spin the alternator and other pulleys to see what one is the reason.
