Unhappy Is my tune gone?

I was doing lights and my sub and disconnected the battery, and was like F@$K!! I remember hearing if you do that it erases your tune. Anyone sure about this or can correct me? And another thing...I can smell gas burning after I get on it thruough a few gears and actually saw something on my friends windsheild after he drove behind me for a while, anybody know what that one is either?? Thanks in advance

leaky injector, maybe unburnt fuel coming out the exhaust. when i had an injector leak it drained down the underside of my car and then sprayed off the transmission and onto everything behind me....it was a bad leak
