Default Need help with new mustang

Hi, I recently sold my 2006 Mustang V6 and purchased a 2004 Mustang GT. I did this for the obvious reasons of speed, and decided that I wanted to work on the GT. When I purchased it the guy before me had already done some work to it:

75 Throttle Body
Air Intake
Exhaust
4.10 gears
lowered it and put new tires

Im pretty sure thats all he did to it, and I was just wondering what I else I could do it relativly cheap for a little extra speed. Heres what I was thinkng about:

Nos: I'v heard mixed reviews on if I should do this or not. I'm just wanting a 50 shot on a wet system. I also hear that if I do put in Nos I should swap over to 3.73 gears.

Shorty Headers

Air filter

Those are the only things I know of that are relativly cheap. Any feedback would be appreciated.

T-loc (posi) would be good and if it is a manual then switch to the 3.73's while your at it.

relatively cheap??? that doesnt leave much. nitrous is a good choice. do a 100 shot. relatively easy to install and definitely worth the money. id also advise to leave the 4:10s. youd be throwing away money if you yanked those out and put in 3:73s

+1. The fast nitrous guys here are having no problems running 4.10s, but your going to need suspension eventually. Also, if I could do it again, I would have gone with LTs rather than shorties. One more point, feel free to tell me I'm wrong, I'm no nitrous expert, but isn't it a bit pointless and more expensive to run a 50 shot on a wet kit? I'm pretty sure a wet kit is needed when your planning on big shots where you need the extra fuel. I would think a plate kit would do you fine. BTW, don't fear the gas! Plenty of people are running 75 to 100 shots without a problem on a stock block.

^ lol youre wrong... but unless your really trying to "be all you can be" then I would recommend a dry shot w/a tune... much more user friendly

they come stock with a limited slip differential, so no need to do that. If it doesn't have a mid-pipe already, get an aftermarket one. keep the 4.10s , seems everyone with 3.73s wish they went steeper, especially if not getting a huge power adder. Sub-frame connectors are good as well.

Shorty headers are worthless, get long tubes, or don't bother

Your aftermarket intake should have a better filter.

If manual, get a MGW short throw.

Okay so go with the bigger headers. I was just going wet shot, because I heard it was safer, seems like people are saying go with dry shot though. I was just going with a 50 shot for safety of the car, I dont really want to break it of course, and wouldnt have the money to fix it.

It is perfectly safe to run a 100 wet shot on a stock motor with the proper safety devices. You don't even have to have a tune. Get colder plugs and call it a day.

Okay, was looking at the car with my buddy, and the reason he was saying to go with shortie headers is because the car has been lowered so he thought the LT's might scrape. Also is it possible to do shortie headers with a CAT-back exhaust?
