I'm ready to put a **** kit in my mustang. it's an auto 98 GT. anyone know if one shift kit is better than the others? and where i can find the best deal on one?

pull out your valve body and send it to these guys http://www.vapauto.com/jmod.htm

cheap, easy to do, and works better than how most other shift kits do.

I have always used B&M. Had very good luck with them.

+1 on the B&M.. About $100 and a little bit of time, concentration, and patience.

I don't know about the J-mod one above, but it looks interesting... Anyone else used it and how much better is it?

VAP says out of stock BTW.

you can still send your valve body and have the jmod done, read the link.

Jmod will save you alot of hassle. Basically they are going to do the valve body work for and you can just send them your valve body in. But if you want to do it yourself with a B&M or whichever brand you prefer. Its not that hard just be patient and take your time.
