Exclamation 2002 GT Stalling Issue

I'm having an issue with my 2002 Mustang Gt stalling on the high way. The issue occurs when I'm coming up to an exit ramp and I shift it from fifth in to neutral to coast up the ramp. The car immediately Drops to 0 RPM and I have to restart it...

I bought my car with an off road H pipe on it And the check engine light was not on for the first month. It came on two days ago with a low catalyst efficiency code (which it should have been reading all along, I assume there is a simulator some where...???). I cleared the code and It stayed off. When the car stalled today the code came back on.

I recently installed a K&N FIPK intake as well. there does not seem to be any vacuum leaks any where... any ideas on what the problem could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a tune loaded on the car? That could be an issue, something similar happened to me.

Same thing happens to me every now and then....rpm's will drop and motor will shut off when placing in neutral...usually happens to me when i've been speeding around and is a/c on. It's a mystery to me...but it's real trippy when you have music going and your trying to brake...but no brakes.

I just bought the car so i am un sure if there is a tune. is there a way to turn the PCM back to the factory settings ? I have disconnected the battery in order to clear the engine code before. When mine happened the A/C was not on.

for starters, you can try cleaning out your IAC with carb cleaner and see if that makes a difference

sounds like a small vacuum leak or dirty IAC, I had simialr issue and found out I had a crack in the MAF sensor housing.

The MAF is brand new. I think it might be the IAC I'm going to start by pulling it off and cleaning it, then I will do a vacuum test.

The guy who owned it before me must have messed with a bunch of stuff on the car. It had an intake off of an 2001 or older mustang with the 4 wire MAF on it. Today I found a "T" I assume used for a fuel pressure gage in the hose to the fuel rail, that now has a bolt stuck in it and is leaking fuel. so I have to fix that. And whatever he was using to turn the Service engine light off (simulator or MIL eliminator) keeps triggering the check engine light on bank 2every couple of days.

Anyway thanks for all of your help guys! Hopefully I'll get these other minor issues fixed up.
