Ignition Issues
The problem is whenever I'm driving the car, if I hit a bump in the road my car shuts off. I narrowed the problem down to my key turning maybe .5 degrees or so, which turns off the car. I talked to the parts department at Ford and they said that the piece responsible for holding the key in place is the ignition lock. After a grueling day of configuring the lock for my key I find that the problem is now worse because the spring tension pushes the key further. So I'm guess that the actuator responsible for making the "run" switch is not making in the correct position. What piece would be responsible for causing this?
Sorry for the bad explanation but, without being able to see the inner workings I'm very limited in my ability to describe exactly what's happening.
Thanks,
Jon
