Default 4.6 LT kooks install

i kno its gonna take like 6 to who knos how many hours.
any tips for the install from the experienced ones who have already done this.

all info thanks in advance

did my mac longtubes last weekend, took 15hrs over two days, 3people workin on it. just take your time and do it right. if you get tired or frustrated call it a night and come back the next day.

Yea do a tubular K-member at the same time and take your time. Don't rush it! You might wanna also do ford racing stage8 locking header bolts.

i heard no and yes.
that first guy disassembled his whole front end to put them in WTF.
is that wat im really lookin forward too

yes it is,...whole k member out, engine supported from underneath or a brace across the strut towers, steering rack out, etc..its a bitch.

i was thinking jus unbolt motor mounts jack up and work my way in to the bolts.
great this is gonna be a great time cant wait

its possible to do it with the k in. instead of 15 hours it will be an agonizing 20 hours because the k-member will be in your way and you will need to unbolt the motor mounts and jack the engine up a little bit so you can get the old off and the new on.

before you slip the lt's in be sure the holes and everything are the same in comparison to the stock manifold.

ive seen and done it in about 15hrs dropping the K, ive also seen a buddy do it over 3 days by leaving the K in and jacking the motor up.


it sucks while your doing it but in the end its worth it, seriously.
