Default Vinyl graphics question

Has anyone used a vinyl stripe kit? They sell the racing stripes, but are they any good or are they cheesey.

I don't know about the stripes, but I have a vinyl blackout decal. It has been on for quite a while, no bubbles, rips, or edges coming up.

I would assume that it just depends on the quality of the vinyl material / adhesive.

I'm not a fan vinyl stripes and I'd rather see them painted but I understand not everyone can afford paint. Most of the vinyl kits I've seen, held up pretty good; So it's up to you.

Thanks,

I originally wanted some old school purple flames (black car), but I think it would be a little over the top. I just dont want to look like a poser, ya know what I mean?

Mine have held up pretty well. As long as they're done correctly it'll look great. Read up on how to install them properly, use lots of soap water and a credit card

+1 on the soapy water, but i'd definitely NOT use a credit card. that's a good way to scratch that vinyl up. if it's a lighter color then the scratches won't be as visible, but the first stripe i laid down on my hood i used a credit card and it scratched it to hell. had to pull it off and cut another one. i used a squeegee on the rest and it worked great (sp?). let it sit in the sun for a day or two to dry up and stick real good and you're good to go.
