My reverse lights do not come on, the fuse is good and both bulbs are ok, i have a steeda short shifter, is there anything i can chek with that?

 

The reverse lights are triggered by a switch on the side of the transmission. I think you are a T-45, being pre-mid '01 and assuming you are a stick.

It is not likely this switch is bad, but if you have power going into it and not out when shifted into reverse... it is bad.

You would need to lift the car up to get to the switch and looks like this:

If it goes into the side of the trans how can i tell if it has power going in n not out? what else could it be if not that

 

You will need one of these:


You "stab" the point into a wire and put the clamp on the body of your car. The light bulb will go on if you have power.
