Cool 1996 GT running rough. please help!!!

Alright pretty much my 1996 GT is running rough and hesitating while driving i've stopped driving it for now. It sounds like put put put put. Took it to the shop they did a carbon tune, new spark plugs, and changed the fuel filter. It ran great for the next day or two then it did the same again. The weird thing is the first time it ran this way was after a heavy rain. Then after i got it back from the shop all nice and running good i washed it and right after i washed it it ran like crap again. things i've replaced within last week since problem new wires, new coil packs then the stuff the shop did. any help would or ides would be appreciated thanks for you time.

My first guess would have been the Coil Packs.
Are you getting any Trouble Codes? Any other symptoms? Be descriptive.

Thats about as descriptive as it gets just at idle it sounds like put put put put and driving it shakes to hell hesitating i put it in reverse to back up last night and it died. i'm just giong to take it back to the shop til they get it figured sucks. oh hold on it blinks check engine which i think means i miss fire. but good wires good coil packs new spack plugs. thats bout as descriptive as i can get.

get it scanned to see if it's throwing any codes. my first thought would possibly be a bad 02 sensor, but i don't think that would throw a code. have you had them replaced recently?

Yes, it can be. They help to control the air/fuel mixture.

it could be your front 02 sensors... you should have your rear sensors disabled if you have an o/r h-pipe, so that's not the problem. your car still uses the front sensors though.

If all else fails, check your IAC valve. I don't see any mention of that being checked! Good luck, Tommy.
