nitrous

RE: nitrous
Let me save you some trouble. You're gonna need to get colder plugs for one, I run NGK-TR6's. You really don't need anything but a bottle, a nitrous line, and some sylenoids. I'm 100% sure some company sells a kit for your car. You're gonna want a bottle heater as well, especially if you go with a wet kit. You don't want low bottle pressure and spray a ton more fuel than nitrous.
I recommend getting a kit that comes with a FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch), a micro switch (also called a wide open throttle switch). My WOT switch is placed in my throttle body. In other words, the nitrous will not activate w/o first hitting the arming switch, then going WOT. If you're a manual, definately get a window switch. The window switch only allows the nitrous to spray from a certain RPM's. Let's say the window is set from 4500-6000rpms, and you shift from 2nd-3rd and then go WOT, but you miss 3rd gear and nail the rev limiter, which is set at 6200 for example, then you just saved your motor b/c the nitrous cut itself off at 6000rpm's...understand?
No matter what anyone tells you, YOU DEFINATELY NEED A TUNE! At least get the air/fuel checked on a dyno to see what's going on.
You don't need a purge kit, although I have one. A purge kit just clears the nitrous line of air and puts pure nitrous in it. You can achieve this by just going WOT once, if you have a micro switch, during your burnout. If it's "button" activated, then just spray quickly during your burnout. BUT! A purge kit is really sweet and gets A LOT of attention.
As far as the bottle warmer and purge kit go, hell, even nitrous kits, I recommend dynotune.org. Or check out Nitro Dave's Nitrous Outlet. He's a sponsor on LS1tech.com, so go there and search for him. He'll get you a SWEET *** kit.
