Default MSD Ignition

hello guys i was thinking of putting MSD coil-on-plug system in my 02, was curious if anyone else had done this modification, if so did you notice horsepower gain?, is coil-on-plug the only modification that can be done to ignition? thanks.

COP upgrades will not really yield any power unless you have an all out performance motor. You are pretty much stock so you have plenty of other bolt-ons to look for power from. Get you a good off-road midpipe or a ring & pinion instead.

There will zero, zilch, nada gain from any after market COPs on an n/a engine -- the OEM COPs are quite capable. In fact, there have been reports of people running them in 600HP+ applications.

Have you read the COP "sticky" at the top of this forum?
