Yes, and the cup holders are different as well. Also the rear def. is next to the headlights on the 99-00.

For the record, I've had no problems with my 02 GTs Transmission. The 3650 works perfect for me. Even better with a tri-ax shifter and a adjustable clutch cable/quadrant.

definently do a carfax on it i was very close to buying a 03 gt that looked great until i did a carfax and i had significant damage to the right rear and 4 owners in 2 years so i didnt get it but do a carfax and learn a little bit about the cars history before you buy it at least thast what i did

99-04 GT's all have 3.27's trust me, if not go research. Mine had 3.27's and was bought new.
