Will 3.73s or 4.10s be better for this?

no one ever considers 3.90s as a option,

i believe they are the perfect gear option, because you get more gear then 3.73, but dont run out of gear

as fast as 4.10s would

why does no one take these into consideration? please tell me if any1 has an idea bc it really bugs me!

I think he changed tire diameter for the strip, but he can confirm.

My guess is because Ford doesn't make them, so people assume that they are not an option.

Ive got the 3.73's. The more I think about it the more I'd rather have the 4.10's.

yea i definently dont want 3.73's but ive considered 3.90's and 4.10's leaning a little more toward 3.90's because i do alot of highway driving being in college away from home

The difference of RPM's at highway speeds between 3.90's and 4.10's is a few hundred. The 3.90's are harder to install (as any non-Ford gear are), so if the person putting them in is not great at it they will whine like hell.

Do the 4.10's and don't look back. If you end up not liking them, I send you my 3.90's for free.

You have to take into account the type of transmission you have. For me 3.73's are a perfect gear.....410's would be crappy on the highway. I already turn 2400 @ 75 MPH so 410's would suck on the freeway. I don't know what year Ford started using the newer transmission (02?), but you guys can get away with 410's. So use that as a guide for what gears will be best for you.

3.90's are great but if youre that worried about gas milage bla bla keep youre car stock and stop complaining! Personally, i want 4.10's now or even 4.30's. The only issue with gears is traction unless you get dr's which are expensive to maintain and top end speed. Ive never had 3.73 but they seem like a waste of time....

As far as performance, I love my 4.10's But nothing really wrong with a 3.90.
