So, my car has been in the shop for the past 2 months trying to get parts to fix the front end damage and the air cleaner was damaged in the accident, so they had the whole thing off. Now that I have my car back I notice the idle RPM in drive and neutral is at about 500rpm... the CEL came on, and i checked the codes, and it said my Idle RPM was lower than normal... which is true, my car dies out, and sometimes won't return to idle when i let off the gas (auto trans) rather stays in gear for longer than expected. I took off the IAC valve and cleaned it, reset the car by unplugging the battery, and still nothing... I think it could be the IAC because when I unplug it, the RPM doesn't fluctuate at all.

Any ideas of what could be causing this? It's really annoying and I need all the help I can get!!

I dont know if you know of that site or not but its amazing for codes. Other than that from what i read on the site i would say its a problem with the IAC as well.
