..just incase you haven't found it yet. you won't get much out of new mods with that much mileage, so definitely get at least a new shortblock. I'd go with the aluminum 5.0 shortblock MMR sells.. then you can add boost or whatever you like from there. According to Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords, the 5.0 shortblock is good for mid 300rwhp right there

if you dont mind a payment that would be the best way to go! you can find cobras with good miles for 18k. s/c,built motor,t56 trans,meaner look than a mach1,few dollars put in the car and you got crazy hp numbers,neck snapping tq, shoot for a 04 cobra

OP Finance for an 03-04 cobra if you have the credit. They will like 10k down and believe it or not banks feel safe financing for mustangs over a lot of cars.

Depends on whether or not you like your body style...

I would say to try and put money towards an 03 cobra....10k is a nice downpayment

if it was me i would go for the 04 cobra, but ur car would be sick with 10k thrown at it lol
