sick of 4.6.. is there a 5.4 engin swap?
ive grown tired of my 4.6 and the problems i am constantly confronted with is there or does any one make a wiring harness conversion kit and can i run the factory 5 speed in my 2000 gt with the 5.4 if there is such a swap any help would be appreciated

What makes you think the 5.4 is problem free? It is basically the same unit as the 4.6.. And share the same common issues. A 5.4 will gain you some torque, but you lose the ability to rev it.. And when you try to put a hot set of cams on ported heads you cant gain because you cant rev to 7000 rpms on a stock 5.4 rotating assembly.

the 4.6 and the 5.4 are the same only difference is a taller deck hence a longer stroke. The only thing about doing a 5.4 swap is the fact its "cool" In all honesty I have thought about doing it but it just doesnt seem feasable.

if u are swapping anyway, do the 5.4 its just as easy. use ur stock intake and heads and u are pushing 260hp and 340tq vs. 260hp and 300tq... makes sense
this has all the info u will ever need

Yea, makes sense if you plan to not mod it at all...
Long tubes? forget about it
stock hood? nope
stage 2 cams? better build a nice rotating assembly first. Spin that 5.4 past 6k a few times and tell me how it makes out

if u use the hps intake everything fits under the stock hood with minor cutting on the bottom...
most people doing a swap will upgrade to forged internals and if not then they wont be getting cams...
there is not downside to doing the swap IMO unless u need high top end speed
