Default my car is misfiring bad. need help

out of nowhere my car started to misfire really bad while driving. i cleaned the engine bay really well the night before with degreaser and then hosed it down and then sprayed some stuff that the dealerships use to make the engine bay really shine and wet looking. right after it was misfiring for about 5 minutes but then went away. well tonight it started doing it again and wont run right. i pulled all the cop's and they were all dry. what could be my problem? any and all possibilities please.

thanks

You could have a bad cam positioning sensor. Any codes?

Any CEL? If not the easiest way to do this would be using a good scan tool, run a powerbalance test and see which cylinder is dropping off. Then replace that COP and plug

my car used to missfire also. It threw a code for a cam position sensor, but ended up being a bad diode in the alternator. I repalced that and it never happened again

I've had similar problems when running through car wash... or just coincidence. But had to replace 2 COP'S around 130K

last month now 160K

My car was skipping really bad on/off.... over a month period I hooked up to one of the genesis scan tools 4 times even while skpping... nothing.... finally decided to buy all new COP'S and PLUGS...while taking all out to just double check......believe it or not one had come unplugged and was barely touching.....plugged back in no problems since

haha I'm not suprised at the accel, glad you figured it out though. These electrical gremlins can be tricky...

yeah im gonna buy a used set of stockers off ebay cause i was an idiot and threw mine away a few months after i got the accel's. apparantly the aftermarket ones aren't worth the hassle.
