i just ordered the extreme duty adj. lowers from maximum motorsports. they say it will raise the back up 2 inches to run a 28 inch tire. when they come in the mail ill put them on and let everyone know.

are LCAs required for a 28" tire? this thread has me confused as hell...im about to go mount mine and push down on the back of my car real hard to see if i can get it to rub..

^ I think he is getting the weight-jacker style to push upward on the spring perch. I would think that going upward of stock would be advantageous to have adjustable length as well. I think the arm will become "short" as the car goes upward.

What in the world do control arms have to do with tires rubbing the fender? I was running the regular ole $100+ summit uppers and loweres with poly bushings going 1.4x 60fts and never rubbed anything(I take that back, I rubbed the parking brake line on the drags). OP, if you take a stock rear spring and cut one coil off it will sit like this on a 28in tire.

This is what it looked like with stock springs. It made a HUGE difference just cutting one coil.

I've never rubbed.



Taking the squat out is key, and tucking the wheels in helps.

im not sure why im rubbing. but im running a 28 inch tall tire because i cross the line at the end of the track at 6200rpms, with the shift light screaming at me. and yea thats crapital, i live 2 minutes from there.
