let the modding begin... got my 4.10 gears installed. sad about my low end but i think im gonna be very happy with my top end. now i need to know what next.

Don't you mean the opposite?

Yeah, you do mean the opposite....gears lower your top end and higher your low end torque....Honest mistake...I hope???

yeah my fault. i said it backwards. i need to get a tuner though. after i got the gears installed, i got on the highway and my speedo said i was doing 135 mph. i know i wasnt so im just curious as to how far off will the speedo get after installing th 410 gears? and also the faster i go, do the speedo misread gap get larger or was i doing around 120 when my speedo said 135?

yeah the gap does get bigger cause I bottomed my speedometer on the freeway and I know I wasn't going 150. BTW there isn't a greater feeling than looking at a bottomed out speedo

If, for instance, you have a 99-04 with a stock ratio of 3.27, your actual speed with 4.10s when your uncorrected speedometer read 135 mph is 3.27/4.10 X 135 = 108 mph. BTW your odometer is off by the same formula, if you have actually gone 100 miles your odometer will have read 4.10/3.27 X 100 = 125 miles.
