For some reason, when I had to brake suddenly today, when I slammed on the brakes I noticed that as I slammed on the pedal, the light that indicates that the E-Brake is engaged came up. Once I released the pedal, the light instantly went away though. Just wondering if you guys have any guesses.
When you slam on the brakes the sensor for ebrake under plastic middle panel touches and the light comes on. Pull off middle console to fix this happened in my old car
Mine was doing this too. Turned out that I needed new brake pads on the front, even though they were still braking fine they were pretty worn
Yea this same thing happened to me, brake fluid level was fine but front pads were worn, I replaced them and the light stopped coming on under heavy braking.
I replaced all my pads and back rotors (and the sticking caliper mount) and it still does it. Yes it did it before I changed the pads and rotors. I will have to look into this and how to solve it.

your brake fluid level wasn't fine, the light stopped coming on because compressing the calipers to put the new pads in forced the fluid back in the reservoir which brought the level back up
So what is it? What is this sensor? What does it look like? I don't understand what you guys are referring to when you are talking about this sensor. What about my brake fluid level? Why would it be low? My pads have plenty of life left too.
