What octane gas do I need to use for my 96-04 GT/Mach 1/Cobra
ORIGINAL: justingt
PI stands for polished/ported intake...basically it's sandblasting your head for [sm=bling.gif] and porting the intake and exhaust valves to make em bigger allowing more air to be exchanged through your engine...porting if you have the tools you can DIY but leave the sandblasting to the pros

I'd suggest having a PnP be done by a professional as well as sandblasting. There are MANY easy ways to fugg up a PnP, and if you don't have a spare head to practice on, it makes it harder.
I have a question,
I am doing a PI swap on my car along with a set of comp cams x262ah cams and exhaust, along with a tune.
I plan on running a 100 shot of nitrous later on.
Will I need 93 octane gas, or will 91 work?
I can't seem to find any 93 in my area, Dodge City, KS.

ALL gas is almost 100% octane.. there are trace deposits of other hydrocarbons and impurities that will make the gas more combustible, and by removing them, or adding other deposits, the gasses octane rating is raised, meaning it won't detonate as easily. You can have octane ratings over 100, that alone should tell you all you need to know about this article.
Stop posting this crap or I'll have you banned!!
