I was thinking about getting a new block and forging it out and putting 4v headers on but you say this would lower the compression right and the blower would not be good. I could stay with the 2v engine i have and forge that out. I do have long tube headers and an X pipe. What do you recommend i do to get the power i am looking for. I didnt want to get a new blower but will if i have to. I really want to get to 600hp. Thanks
It is a good blower but a little small for your goals. The D will definitely get you to 600 but if it were me, I'd build the engine and see what it makes, then upgrade if necessary. It would be cheaper to stick with the 2v unless you can get the 4v for free. (You'll need a new blower bracket for the 4v)

My suggestion is, build your motor, 2500 shortblock, 800-2000k for heads, 600 cams, & 500 miscellaneous. Don't go any smaller than a 3" pulley without an 8 rib.

8:1 for a big blower & boost up to 9:1

I'm at 9:1 with no worries

Turbos are better for HIGH hp but you've already got a blower so stick with that. The turbo kits for our cars are high rent.

I think there is an option to upgrade the psc1 to a D for like a 1000 bucks, i could do that. And i want to make sure i am clear on this. You are saying with my blower do not go to 4v because it will lower the compression. Is that correct. I just want to make sure because i heard 4v ported heads were really good.

The blower isn't the problem when switching to 4v heads the heads themselves are the problem with the larger cc combustion chambers. If you want to go 4v then put some forged 10.5 cc dished pistons in and a good set of rods and you should be around 9.2:1 compression. You could then upgrade to the d1 and make your goal with the supporting fuel system.

i was going to ask the same question as the OP (sorry to threadjack maybe it can help you as well) I dont have the money to get the trick flow heads what brand would be almost as good but significantly less price range? i do plan to forge the motor as well (crank, pistons, etc.) as of right now i have most bolts ons but the spark plug blew out of the head for the 4th time so i went ahead and decided to start my rebuild on the motor as i had previously planned along with a tko 600. I as well want to be around 550 or so and plan on a kenne bell s/c. What internals as well as cams/heads do you all recommend? like i said didnt mean to thread jack hoping to get some answers as well as help you out OP thanks

You'll need at least a basic set up, Fore Fuel hat, dual 255 pumps, filters, lines feed/return, fittings, rails, injectors & FPR

You'll order the pistons by the CC dish.

Have you decided what heads you are gonna use? If you swap to a 4v head you will need a piston with less dish then a piston designed for a 2v head.
