Seems to me the Pro Kit is about 1.5" drop, so generally not considered to be necessary. I think they are a good idea though, as you can square the tires up better for longer wear and add a bit of caster if you go wider wheels.
I've had the Pro Kit on for about 3 years now, and haven't had any problems. When i put it on i had it thrown on an alignment rack to make sure everything was good.
yeap, I've had mine for a year now, haven't gotten around to them yet... I'm getting there though, if you have the money to do it when you do the springs might as well do it then
