Prof. Prod. TB and plenum install question
well this may be a dumb question, but id rather ask then be stuck high and dry.
im going to grab a TB and plenum setup used that is already bolted together which includes the EGR and IAC along with barb fittings and they are already bolted together.
my guestion is, every TB/plenum i have removed has had a gasket. But i remember seeing only a ruber o-ring type deal on the top of the intake manifolds...(04 GT)
do i need any gaskets for this install? one from plenum to manifold? other than prob egr and IAC gasket if im using mine and take ones off of TB/plenum
sorry if this is really dumb but just want to make sure.
thanks for any help

My idea would be to put the end of the stock intake tube into some really hot water for a while and then see if you can stretch it over.

thanks alot Strider, that mixed with some WD40 im sure would work.
i may just use the plenum for now since the 75 i have heard is a little overkill for stock motor and that it can flow more than enough CFM.

I know it will slip over a 70mm with no real problems but going over a 75mm is a really tight fit. I've heard of some people cutting a split at the end of the tube so you can pull it over but I don't think that is a good idea since it could tear all the way down.

Cool thanks alot guys. Just wondering if it would be even close to fitting.
In the end i think im goin to have some 3" exhaust pipe bent up for am intake tube. Yes it will be metal and hope it doesnt heat soak THAT bad. At least $100 or more for a CAI doesnt appeal to me. I already have a Densecharger fender CAI, but was going to replace the ribber rubber tube.
i know it wont do me that much good over stock, but my rubber one has diry and grime that doesnnt clean too easily, plus i can put a custom paintjob on the new pipe.

actually come to think of it, ill just make it out of fiberglass, that way the fitment will be perfect...not to say that anything like C&L or JLT are not good fits.... they just cost too much
