Default NEED HELP!!!!!! HEADER QUESTION

i have headman l/t headers on my stang and i wanna do a tranny swap n e one know if i will have to take the left side header off????? i know u dont with Mac's but i didnt have n e problem getting them in to clereance issue n e help.i just wanna know what i am in for before i tackle the job..... N E Help will b apprecatied

I've got hedmans as well. They should be just as wide as MACs. You should not have a problem getting the tranny out except getting to the starter bolts.

Am I the only person who couldn't get my transmission out with my MAC long tubes still in? Man I must be tarded or something.

thanks fella idk man sometime stuff just doesnt go how is suppoes to lol .. thats why im tryin to figure out the problem before i do....i really wannna do the tranny swap but when i put the headers on the first time is was a PITA, and i dnt wanna do it again if i dont have to ... and thanks blue pony for the info btw how did u manage to get to your starter bolt????

When doing LTs, it is SO MUCH easier to just drop the K member. Makes so easy and quick.

I agree. I have tried it by raising the engine and by dropping the k member. Dropping the k member is a must for easier access, saving your precious knuckles, and keeping your blood pressure down.
