I have Long Tube Pypes Headers and to anyone who is wondering - it is possible to remove the starter without touching the headers, just take your time, be patient...
I did it by myself and I have big hands, so be patient, it's possible ...
With my Cobra, that top bolt never found its way back into the hole.. I guess the starter fairy carried it away or something

Are there 3 bolts? I only have two on mine and unless I am loosing my mind, I only remember holes for two bolts..... Anyway, I found that they best way of getting at that top starter bolt is with a long extension and come in from under the motor mount. Then I can reach the bolt around the exhaust pipe. Takes me about 2 minutes to get it out.

I had 3... Someone else was suggesting that Romeo and Windosr motors might have different mounts. In my case, however, the 2nd and 3rd bolts were impossible to see: 2nd - because of long tubes running right over it; 3rd - because of it being on opposite side.
Look for a "bump" on ur pump and block closer to the fender, where another bolt could go - I couldn't see the actual bolt. It is kind of on top of smaller relay (idk how it's called) not the big motor.
Hope this helps.

i have 2 bolts on mine, and i think the top one? was a PIA sometimes. but also, batteries can hold a charge and seem alright at 12.4v but you need to check the voltage drop when you are trying to start it. If the voltage drops below i think its like 9v while the engine is cranking, then the battery is shot.
