so long story short, new motor is in, runs great, no problems whatsoever, but it will not idle at all....only thing i have to question is the tube from the iac to the intake tube is not connected to the intake tube, lost the little black plastic piece. wondering if one of u can go out, and unhook that tube from your intake tube and see what it does as far as idling.... its quick, simple, easy... and will save me from chasing this problem down, and spending 80 bucks on an iac i might not need....

No need to do all that--the IAC has to be connected to the intake tube after the MAF or it will be pulling un-metered air. The PCM will then have no idea of how much air is entering the engine and will go nuts trying to control the idle...

+1 /\ the computer needs to know how much air is comin in, and if it doesnt know, it also doesnt know how much fuel to dump in
