JD you may not have seen because you dont have a 98 but its an oddity as described above and in other ways possibly thats what I meant.
98AUGT I will be putting my Bassani cated X in this weekend, I hope its worth the $400
I wonder if this X will trip my MILS????

I think it is impossible to be disappointed when replacing anything exhaust on a car with 6 cats and super restrictive exhaust. I am sure you will be happy with the power, sound, and emissions legal gains you will get. And if it has cats, I don't think it will trip MILS, but there is no telling.

Replacing the stock manifolds is good no matter which route you choose (LT or shorty). Anything is better than stock. I am pretty sure you will see HUGE gains with headers and S/C. Any increase in your already superior flow will show. And by bottom end, I mean do you have forged crank, pistons, rods, etc...?

One other thing about the '98 GT is the auto tranny. Almost bullit proof (no pun intended) as compared to its earlier counterparts. Many little mods in '98 getting ready to release the newer '99 body style. I think the dash is cleaner too without that foolish little clock sticking up on top. They went to a radio clock in '98 I believe. The overall rounded style of the '96-'98 both inside and out I think are perhaps the cleanest looking Mustangs of all. '98 Cobra = A+. Just too bad all '98's couldn't of had '99 heads.
