Default speedometer nonfunctional

Today my speedometer was working earlier, then when I started it up later I noticed when I was driving my gauge was stuck at 0. Odometer is not counting either. The tachometer, fuel, temp, all other gauges are working normally except for the speedometer and odo, now not reading. I do have 4.10's and am using a speedcal but it has been in for a few years now and no problems. Could the SpeedCal be messing up my connection somehow?

Anyone experienced with aftermarket gears maybe have some insight to this? Or would it be something else besides that SpeedCal? Not sure where to begin with this one.

Check your speedcal and see if it is getting power.

yea, check speed cal, i had same problem - but i do not have speed cal. im runnin 3.73's, uncalibrated still, but my speedometer went out and would show ------- every now and then because the wire on the top of the transmission, near the shifter, was chafed. might check there, and around the transmission mount area -- driver side of car. best way to check this is either take the shift boot/bezel and silencer off and look down at top of connector (its plastic) and make sure its tight, then get under car and see if you can find anything while under the trans. but of corse, it might be easier to check with the speedcal route first. maybe try taking it out and running uncalibrated to see if you get any speed reading.
