Default Switching oils on a '02 gt

Bought my gt bone stock and it was always serviced at a ford dealer by the previous owner. It has always had motorcraft syn blend put in it since it was new. I want to switch to a different oil but am not sure if it is a fully good idea or what oil to switch to. any opinions?

Any brand name (Mobil, Castrol, Valvoline, etc.) synthetic blend will be fine--they are all made to "meet or exceed" manufacturer's specifications.

I'm running royal purple oil with the royal purple oil filter and it works great. My cobra always ran motorcraft but I made the switch last oil change and all is well.
