It really depends on how you're planning to drive it.

lol wow. to answer your question any time you plan to use sticky tires you need to stiffen up the chassis it really has nothing to do with power or torque. your not gonna stress the chassis if your just blowing the tires off you know what i mean? some basic chassis mods are a good set of subframe connectors and either battle boxing your torque boxes or fully welding your torque boxes (or both). after that the next step would be installing a cage.

Should stiffen the chassis on these cars regardless of what you are gonna be doing. Overall ride is better with less rattles and creaks as the chassis gets older. Follow the above. Cage is for serious people only really. Strut tower brace can help a little also

I don't condone street racing in any fashion, but if you plan on doing 120+ down the road all the time, I think a cage would be a wise decision. There's a reason that most tracks will kick you off if you're quicker than 11.50 w/o at least a bar. And yes, it will also, as stated, stiffen up your chassis.

youll want to "beef up" your wallet if you want to flat out street race, just in case the boys in blue decide to show up and catch you.

You really shouldn't run a cage on the street unless the car mostly sees the track. Imagine hitting your head on part of the cage in an accident. The SFI padding will do nothing.

i agree with this to an extent.... an 8pt would be fine for the street....10pt is a death sentence on the street though unless you plan to drive around with your helmet on

guy just died not long ago...street testing his drag car and wrecked it and smashed his head into the cage...done for

either the guy driving, or his friend, or both...i dont remember....it was a badass 454ci opel though

I personally wouldn't run more than a 6 point.
