Default Lifting T56?

Wow, trying to install a T56 in the GT and trying to figure out how to do it while being safe about it. Only have a couple floor jacks for the job, and, unlike the Tr3650, the T56 dances around all over the jack b/c there's not a good flat spot on the tranny for it to sit. Also, the car is on jackstands, not a lift.

Anyone have any advice? Manhandling it like some people will likely propose probably isn't going to work b/c 1) it's a bit crazy and 2) had to fab some dowels that are a tight fit so will be hard to get on while trying to hold the tranny simultaneously.

I replaced my clutch and I pulled the tranny out myself... (big mistake) there I was under a jacked up car with what felt like a 200lb tranny sitting on my chest. I managed to wiggle out from under it.
I had a friend help intall it, I figured we could just lift it back into place... wrong! We had to put it on a jack and steady it going in. It's not easy to do that way but it can be done.

you can get a jack adaptor that fits transmission from most auto part chains or probably fab one up. me and a friend could just heave ho the t45 into place then slide the jack under while we held it there. Then we just bolted the cross member in.
